Compadre being phased out

Rumor has had it that the Compadre was no longer going to
be available. Even though the compadre was and continues to
be a fantastic detector and probably one of the best tot lot detectors
ever, they will not longer be available.

I guess one of the reasons was it was one of the best priced detectors
on the market but not enough margins on the profit side.

Now that would of been a shame if it was true! But it's not!

Oh well ..... April Fool!

Couldn't get me with that one Larry, the Compadre is too good to be discontinued.

We know everyone who has the Compadre loves it.
Also one the best detectors to get people into the hobby!
And one of the best detectors to keep them in the hobby

That was an pretty good April Fools joke. If they did ever phase out the Compadre two things would have had to happen first. America would stop drinking soft drinks and eating pizza or it would be the end of the world. I still think with the end of the world there would still be someone metal detecting using a Tesoro when it was happening. Possibly even a Compadre would be the detector of choice. The Compadre would be a very hard detector to replace. I notice on here list of detectorists that have more pricier machines keep a Compadre in their arsenal. Hope everyone gets time to get out this week.

Here's a 10k class ring I found an hour ago with the disc set at just past "iron" on my Compadre. Woo-hoo! I was upset because the school had started an after-school program for the working parents and I couldn't search the tot lot area. I then noticed an area 3 football fields in length that stretched to the other side of the school and away from the kids. I started at the other end and in the past two weeks have found over $20 in change alone. Today's ring made it super! I may be searching this area for a LONG time.

I just bought a used compadre w/7" coil yesterday for the kids to use. Just have to see for myself what it's all about.

It's about gold, silver, coins galore and chains of all kinds!

the compadre is a monster, I wish it was my first detector, now it's a keeper

I really don't think Tesoro will kill that gem.

Nice find!! They are messing up with my "tot lots" where I hunt
and are putting rubber mats under the swings etc...

Every year someone comes up with an April Fool's joke. One of the best one's was Tabdog's post of finding a Prehistoric dollar with a Compadre! I don't think anyone has yet topped the year that Eastern and Western Treasures or Lost Treasures-can't remember, my "sometimers" just kicked in-posted pictures of the "new" machine w/TV screen. It had a picture of the screen showing a mercury dime next to a soda can and of course the audio and vdi were spot on. You could even read the date on the mercury dime on the screen!
