Compadre and relics, good feelings :inlove:

Hi, this is Dan from Italy.
I agree with Tabdog, searching with compadre in all metal allows you to understand many things.
This is what I found yesterday (the other md is a cscope 990xd; every object is inert, not dangerous):

Sure looks like you've found a British encampment, Dan.

The mess kit and Mills bomb are a real give-a-way.

Don't trust that Mills bomb one single bit !
Here in the South we lost a well known collector who was expert in making CW munitions harmless...
until that last canon ball got him.

And it was well over one hundred years old !

From the tales we've read it sent shrapnel a block away when it got him.

Good thing to turn in to bomb disposal unless you are 100% sure it's safe.
I'd be happy buying a replica for $20 to celebrate the find !

no, it is not a mills. there are four hand bombs, three italians and one german. the mess kit is austrian.

here in italy it frequently happens that someone explodes trying to deactivate bombs, but it is not my job.

are you interested on first world war relics ?
