Compadre 5.75 vs Silver Umax 5.75, are they the Same in the tot lot?

both will do a great job in the tot lots, but the compadre might be a tad better on small gold because it operates at 12khz where the silver umax operates at 10.6 khz. the silver umax might be more versatile because you can change coils and adjust the sensitivity. either one you choose will be a fine detector..............roger
 
IMO, there is little real world difference between 10.6 and 12khz.

The Compadre is a fine machine for the buck, it surprises many, especially those unfamiliar with Tesoro.

The Silver uMax is a superior machine, by design.
