Sneak peek of the new Anderson carbon fiber lower rod for the CTX 3030......

Interesting. Does this solve some problem that we have with the lower shaft?

I'm curios about this too. Longer? Shorter? What has been changed?

Hopefully it solves the problem of them being too dang expensive to own one for each of my coils!

Amen, Brother Joe!

Duh! Why didn't I think of that for a reason?! Yeah, those OEM lowers are stupid expensive

Would love to have another lower for my 6" coil.

Hmmm to me it appears that the coil cable is external to the lower shaft? Am I seeing that right?

Hoping for a few inches of additional length!!!!

It's hard to tell... The hole for the cable to go into the shaft may be up higher than the stock one?

An old friend of mine is this carbon fiber wiz kid, has patents for different processes, and a carbon fiber venture company or something. I told him one time, that if he wanted to make some money he should design a lower shaft for the detector that is better priced than Minelabs. He seemed to think that it would not be worth it and did compliment the design that Minelab had for their shaft. Granted it was just a quick conversation about it, but I took his word at the time. I guess we will see what this guy has.

Honestly, it only takes me about two minutes to change the coils.

The cable is internal, it just goes into the lower rod a little higher than the factory piece...

So we would basically gain an inch over the stock shaft IF my measurements are correct.

Custom lengths will be available

NOW we are talking!!! Sounds great.

Anderson Detector Shafts has been making shafts for detectors for a number of years and their reputation is well-deserved . . . quality design, realistic prices.

While it may be somewhat simple to swap out a Minelab coil (that's subject to interpertation), having the coils on their own lower shafts is a real nice feature and a tme save in the field. Stick one in your pack and switching them out is a snap.

Looking forward to getting extra shafts for my CTX 3030 and the fact that you can get other lengths is another plus.

Glad to see another option available . . . .

Do you think that Anderson would ever consider making a replacement upper shaft for the CTX-3030?
It could do with a shortening for easier transport in a back pack, bag or on a bike.

Huh? That is permanently mounted to the control assembly. The upper isn't the problem when packing, the lower rod is longer. It's so long that it will barely fit (at an angle even) into allowed checked luggage for airlines. I would have liked for the CTX to have 3 rod sections, but that probably would have added a couple hundred more $$ to the price.
