Coming from an Explorer SE - need help with pitches!

Hi everybody, I'm a long time Explorer SE user and just got my CTX a few days ago. I've noticed you can change the pitches on targets and I would like to try to get the sounds in a similar range to my SE to minimize the adjustment period if possible. When I do the pitch change in conductive mode (50 tones) it seems to only adjust the top and bottom pitches. Does anyone know if this means that if I get the same top and bottom pitch as the SE all the other ones will fall into place? I've read the manual's section on it and they only seem to talk about changing the pitches in 2 tones or 4 tones modes.

I don't mind learning new pitches but I would love to smooth the transition if possible and build on the reflexes I already have with the SE's sounds. Please let me know what you guys think!

Thanks,

OldNorthwest

Conductive 50 tones would be your SE tones......or at least as close as you will get. Pretty much will sound simular although you don't quite get that recognizable flutty sound on silver. Close but not quite the same.

50 tones will give you just that from 01 to 50. If your a coin hunter you may try 4 tones conductive and set your CO bin where coins fall to the highest pitch. You can also set a bin for the nickel signals and assign it a specific tone.

Just a though for you.
