I haven't been out in 2-3 weeks, the ground is hard as rock, and the heat after work is a killer. The grass hurts to walk on barefoot, now that's dry for these parts.
As I go to and from work I notice the bottom leaves on the corn stalk are turning yellow and the top leaves are curling, not a good sign if you farm.
