Nice video Gunnar. When I heard the noise at the 2:11 mark, it kind of echoed in the woods and sounded like a crow lol Thanks for posting the vid - Jim

My Gt sounds the same on slugs here in Tasmania Gunnar, good to see consistency across the other side of the world.

Great Video

Nice video Gunnar - I don't have sound from the internet, so I can't compare, but I do hunt the woods and suspect I will be making some similar finds.

Tin , bring a small can of spray paint , say lime green florecent, i hunt grops of trees and i spray a spot on the side of the tree to show i have hunted that section of the woods that way i dont miss anything , and be paitient you may get discouraged but usally thear is one spot wher somthing good was lost and that when it all pays off . remember to tuck your pants into your socks and your shirt into your pants and take all clothes off when done and Isolate them or put them into the driyer as ticks you cant see will come off and get on you later check every part of your body and i think you will do O.K you will not win the fashon contest but you may avoid limes and live to hunt another day . Gunn

Thanks for the paint tip Gunnar - doing this won't be a problem for me as I will be working private property.

I'm very familiar with the forests of the Midwest - been hitting them since I was eight or so; seed ticks especially can be bad, or chiggers. I use a variety of methods to protect my self from them - between the things you mention, plus duct tape (to pick up ticks that you do find, they stick to the tape), bug spray of any number of kinds, and goats-beard plant when I find it (don't get any in your mouth - this stuff works great, rub the leaves on you - I have actually had seed ticks drop off of me in large numbers as fast as they could; or make a spray with water and the leaf; but don't use oil or alcohol as the base, and be careful).

Gunnar, you narrate your videos like a pro...You have a natural talent.
Keep em coming!
