Comcast is helpng Uncle Willy

Comcast will be at Uncle Willy's House Tomorrow to install Cable Internet. They have volunteered to personally go in his house and set his whole house up wireless for no extra charge and make sure his laptop is connecting right for him. How about that? His download speed will be 17 megs down and 3 megs up. So expect him to be in here fussing tomorrow evening lol

That is great news. Your a good man Jerry for helping him out with the laptop. Comcast is a great company, wish I had them here. Hope Uncle Willy gets back on here soon, really miss his postings. Again thanks Jerry, will remember your generosity when I need something related to the hobby.

Yeah the whole purpose in getting him back is because I know he needs you guys right now. This forum and you men and women mean a lot to Bill.
I'm sure it will help him recover.I'm glad I was able to help in a small way, but never underestimate the power of all your prayers. That's the greatest gift Bill has received

If he has never used a laptop before the fast internet speed will almost make up for slowness of a laptop. If he has a mouse for it,,,he might be OK.

Maybe its just me,,but I find them to be slow and a pain in the butt without a wireless mouse. But it can be done either way.

i bought him a wireless laser mouse and his laptop is a quad i5 processor with 4 gigs of ram so it should rock. nothing slow about todays laptops

They have Uncle Willy setup but unfortunately Bill forgot the password lol so they are going back to his house between 10 am and noon pacific today to get him educated on windows 7
