Combining Hobbies

Just curious as to how many of you combine
activities when your:detecting: Ie coin shooting
and ?? fosssils or rocks etc etc .. I know
different locations would have different opportunities
Just curious since Im trying to plan next year and
also get in a bit more fun ... which is what its all
about anyway ....I know places that might have
old bottles would be a great place for old coins as
well.. thats the kind of info im looking for ..
Success stories that wil make me green with envy
will be grudgingly accepeted!!!!! :rofl:

I always keep my eyes open for old bottles and good rocks. Found an upper half of an old medicine bottle on one dig. Also the lead I recover from lakes and rivers gets made into new sinkers or lures.

:usaflag:I used to be an avid arrowhead hunter/collector, but have'nt looked in years.

But I will keep just about anything that I think is interesting or historical
 
this weekend im gonna head to a old farms fresh plowed feilds and metal detect and also keep the eyes open for arrowheads .
 
Well, photography really mixes well with the hobby. Macro shots can be a challenge. I sometimes go jogging, and I sometimes go to a sports field, go for a run, then cool off walking around with a metal detector.

Works for me:thumbup:
