Colored Excalibur coil

USN Doc

New member
I was wondering if any of you Excalibur users have either painted or put some kind of colored or reflective tape on your coil so you could see it more clearly when you were in the water.

I haven't yet, but I am thinking HARD about it. Last weekends hunt was in lake water that was dirty enough that I couldn't see the lime green stripe in waist level water. It made pinpointing hard since I am new to the machine. The white coil on the Tiger Shark spoiled me!! HH Joe.
( Just make sure the detector doesn't pick up the reflective tape )
