Colorado trip next week

Will be visiting family in Colorado Springs next week, would like to do some prospecting in that area, looking for some info. On where to go, first time gold prospecting.
 
Check out Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA). Seems like Clear Creek County the association has a claim for members. Then south to Lake, Chaffee, and Fremont Counties. Also to the NW is Routt County where gold has been found. HH and good luck.
