Colonial shoe/knee buckles

Here's an example of how I have my displays layed out in the glass "Riker Cases". Each case is it's own theme. I do like 1 piece buttons in 1, Revolutionary in another, Civil War in another, Arrowheads in another, lead, etc., etc....
This buckles' one is one of my favorites.....

with like white cotton & pins on the side are pretty reasonable....I wait for a sale @ Michael's craft store as they have a whole isle of shadow boxes & these things. (On sale they are like $12). I just found them even cheaper at an Antique store too. Then I make labels on the computer that say what it is, where it came from, date dug, detector used, etc.
I learned the hard way to come up with some kinda code as to where I found it. Like "Field 15" for example, then have notes at home. Otherwise if I was too specific, when I do a presentation I'd be providing a roadmap to everyone with a detector to jump my claim
