Colonial relics witn the T2...

Well, the heat wave we've had here just won't seem to go away. But, I went back to one of my Colonial sites for a few hours anyhow. (even though people still think I'm crazy hunting in 100 degree heat). ;)Again, this is another site that's been hunted hard, but a decent amount of signals surfaced. I think it's a combination of 3 things:
1) T2 power/ frequency
2) record rainfall here
3) My confidence with the unit right away
Anyhow, I was drinking lots of water & got a good sunburn. The better of the finds were early one piece buttons, & also my first T2 coin find surfaced, a 1700's British copper. Though not much left of it, I can see the outline of a King George II head (he's looking left). He ruled from 1727-1760, so that gives a date range at least.....

Here's a picture from my Colonial book of British coins that show's what a good one should look like.

Here's a whole handful of most all the goodies. Stuff like bullet shells, etc were tossed away. There are more musketballs (fired & dropped), a half a shoe buckle, harness rivets, furnature hardware, a hook, etc.....

All in all, another fine day with the T2. I swapped back & forth between 2 & 3 tones this weekend & had fun. I like 2 tones for this type hunting....
HH,
Bill

for a couple weeks to check it out. So far I do like what I see of the T2 (but I'll be keeping my Edge).....
