My hunting buddy and I hit a new colonial homesite in Virginia that we recently received permission to hunt. This home site dates to 1705. We thought we would find alot of civil war stuff, as both sdies frequented this area during the civil war.

I had the best coin date ever and recovered the following with my NEW Fisher F-75 LTD. yesterday, and recovered the following:

1 1857 flying Eagle penny (first for me)
1 1846 Coronet Large Cent
1 1795 Cap Bust Large Cent (my first breaking the 1700 barrier)
1 1911 Barber Dime in Extra Fine Condition
1 1938 Mercury Dime
1 Flat button
1 Zouve round button

Excellent finds, all great coins.

I've taken another close up pic of the Liberty Cap Large cent, and you can cleartly see the faint but dicernable numbers 793 or 795. It looks like 1793 in the pic but I think it is a 1795, but not really sure. Any experts out there please chime in..
