Colonial home site found

Scenario84

New member
Today I finally found the colonial homesite that I have been researching and looking for for several weeks. I found a lot of cool items, some silver plated objects, parts of a pocket watch, some decorative pieces, harmonica reeds, a cool bell, and my favorite piece: a silver-dollar sized glass piece with a metal back, and an "F" under the glass. I have no idea what it is, so if anyone has any ideas please tell me. But I plan on going back tomorrow and finding more!

That spot has alot of potential.... i have a simular round thingy ,mine has an R under the glass...might be a bridle rosette, would have been attached to leather horse tack..that other round brass piece might also served a simular purpose... gotta be coins in there somewhere...all your finds are kind of on the large size yet..i like the bell....

I agree with Bootyhound. Looks to be a bridle rosette. Keep at it. I'm sure there's some older stuff in there. Nice finds.

Looks like a great site - that's the type of site I like to go back to in the Winter or early Spring and hunt after the growth has died off.
A small coil ( 6" or under) would also be a big help !

Good Luck !
