I tried a tooth pick after it dried.I have ruined other buttons and coins trying to clean them .I welcome all and any suggestions on how to clean it up.I stumbled onto a good spot that has not been excavated or detected ,a small patch on a steep hill near the old center.
Thanks Ronstar
