My brother found this one piece button a few years ago in Maryland. He thought it might be Maryland First Brigade but all the buttons like that have a 1 in place of the F. Any ideas?

I just found out what this button is. It is a Revolutionary War Maryland button. it is MEB not MFB. "Maryland Extraordinary Battalion". They were part of the 2nd Maryland Regiment. Right now there are only two known examples!
