College Pins and a Big Star

The big star was dug at a 3rd Seminole War fort in central, FL. It has remains of a clasp on the reverse and seems to be made of pot metal.
The 2 pins were dug at a local 1880's college. Frat pins? Would love to know for sure.

Not sure about the pins but the star, could it be an old sheriff badge? Maybe I've seen to many old western movies,LOL
