COLE

I live in P.A. And where i live there is alot of cole in certain areas. And no matter what i put my detector sensitivity on it picks it up. But sometimes i still hunt there because it is an old rail road stop and i already found an old coin there. But the cole is a real pain.. It sounds just like a quarter. Does anyone know about this problem.. Hope everyone has good finds..:detecting:

I have a Coal burning power plant about 1/4 mile from my house...One of the areas I like to hunt is along an old train track that used to feed this power pig. I get the quarter to half-dollar signals too, and end up digging a lump of coal...For some reason, the detectors pick it up...do not know if it is because of it's mineralization, or the fact that coal holds heat...
