Cold WET Muddy day...one more silver

well against my better judgment I went out today for awhile, went with BadJim....got permission for that area that is just a big grass lot....man it was a mess standing water in every low spot, when you cut a plug it filled with water. I was covered it mud, it was misting rain all day 38 degrees. I got 2 wheats and a merc and a 1941 nickel, Jim got several wheats. I will go back when spring gets here, and hopefully the ground is drier! In the dirty pic you see a cut token, was hoping to get something off of it, but it was toast, couldn't make out anything

Congrats on finding some goodies in the muddy mess. makes you really appriciate the nice days with that perfect soil :clapping:

You've got it in your blood, no matter what the weather! Very cool finding silver under those conditions.
BTW-check out this youtube video "Excessive Compulsive Metal Detecting by Dirtfish Dave"
I've been suffering with this condition for years (and I hope I never recover). Happy hunting!!

Nice Silver!! It was like yesterday for me too. By the end of the day everything had mud on it, even my face. LOL

Digging in the mud is not fun. At least you got some kind of reward for the discomfort!

One of my hunting partners and I had to deal with wet ground Saturday, but at least it wasn't cold (73 degrees).

I am not looking forward to the cold weather getting here.
