I haven't got to test the explorer's performance out in below freezing weather for long periods of time yet. Although I hunted with it a little in 28 degree conditions for a short period of time. It seemed to respond OK but maybe was a little sluggish when switching to different settings out in the field. My buddy (who hunts with a different brand detector) had problems with the screen going blank in cold weather. He still had the audio sounds but no visual screen. I hope this doesn't happen to the explorer. Has anyone tested it out in these conditions and had any problems? Thanks in advance, Tom
PS- Still waiting for the weather to break here to get out (below freezing for 3 weeks now and 7" of snow on the already frozen ground with more on the way <IMG SRC="/forums/images/frown.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=""> )
