cold water drysuit size

I plan on purchasing a drysuit for cold water . I am 5' 9", 200 pounds and I will be putting on thermal undergarments . Would I be ok with x-large size ?? - thanks

Every manufacture....(Viking, Whites, DUI..ect..) Size thier drysuite differently...You have to go the manufactureres wbsite and see thier sizing and how it applies to you..."Thermal" under garments really doesnt mean anything....Its the thickness...Colder water, thicker undergarments and how long you plan to stay....no drysuit or undergarment will let you stary for hours on end...Wont happen....but thicker means moving up a size in the drysuit....You can alway take material away, ya cant ad it.....

Try to read reviews of those who bought different sizes and often they say how sizes run on specific suits. It is not perfect, but it helps. I bought a wet suit a few months back and got a XX Large- I am 5'9" and 215 (I lost 30 lbs. since and its easier to get in and out now).

If your not real flexible you may even think of going with a XXL.... I'm 190 and 5-10, XL works good with the undergarment I have now because it compresses. On average it takes me 10 plus minutes to get suited up, then 10 to get undressed, and you want a suit you can get in and out of by yourself. .
