Cold three hunt but it was worth it!

Jkline and I hit the old proverbial lanes the last three days on a stretch of campus greens. We both managed a piece of silver (he will tell his awesome story soon), mine a Saint Christophers pendant about the size of a dime. I dug about $4 in clad which included quite a few 60s pennies. Clad was all 70-90s so thought that a bit odd.
Second day was a doozy. Another $3.50 in clad and continued more 60s pennies. Jeff got his shining moment and I was simply trying to get just enough to hit the $60 mark since July or $150 for the calendar year, missed it by 10 cents.
Went out again today as supposedly snow in late tonite and colder weather for the week. Went back where I quit the night before and within 10 minutes got a nice dime signal so went after it. Saw silver in the bottom of the plug so felt good! Carefully digging around it and it was getting bigger but not solid? What? Ended up being a big ol earring that was the 60s icon peace symbol! Cool. Kept going another 20 feet and well I be damned I found the matching other one! Told Jeff he might have found a silver ring with a peace symbol but I got the rest of her jewelry!! Lol. Once I got home and cleaned it I could not find any markings and it was apparent it was costume but none the less a cool find for end of the year!! Ended ip with another $2.50 in clad and one ‘57D wheat so got my goal!!’
Im dying to tell about Jeff’s find but thats his glory so I’m zipping the lips!!!!
