[attachment 11271 eaglecoatbutton.JPG][attachment 11270 november19-whatsits.JPG][attachment 11269 november19finds1.JPG]Went hunting for an hour after work Friday and about two hours this morning. It was 33degrees and a heavy frost on the ground. I have been digging a every plus signal over 5 on my excel and I dug a bunch of foil today. I think I am going to start digging the higher readings because of the time spent that I could be swinging and digging better targets. One of the coins is a 1945 one phenning which is surprising because I figured all the metal would have been used for the war effort.Hope all is well and happy hunting.

Do you know what your disc is set at?? Sounds like your maybe at 0 where you cancel iron but will hear foil & all. You can try FP which will cancel most foil, or just turn your disc to like +7 or so. THen you'll get rid of foil that way.......HH, Bill

I have been using FP setting but I am going to start digging +8 and above.I usually am pressed for time and its for the birds when you spend so much time digging trash.I am always thinking (what if it is a good target) but I think I will find more by just moving to the better signals.:detecting:
