I am goin out in a bit. High today is upper 40s with high winds. Soon as it warms a bit I am out the door with the Pro and M6.
JMaryt, I dont have the small coil yet, I do have an 8 inch but gonna have to wait till Christmas is over. Ive pushed my luck a bit with the wifey, lol. Grandkids come first, Rule number one, lol.
I forgot to mention, the first hunt with it and I was using disc mode and had it set on nails. I got a dime reading of about 68 and wavered a bit, scanned different direction and got the signal again but not solid, pulled trigger and scanned, doubled clutched, and it didnt size just right, was to long in one area of scan. But I dug anyway, came up with a rusty nail. Well I thought this aint right, so I scanned again and got the dime signal again. Put pinpointer into hole and got a signal,so I scooped out a bit more dirt and seen the shiney coin in the bottom of hole. Nothin special but it was a silver dime,Eisenhower.
I still working on the settings and experimenting. I have a silver dime and quarter buried at 6 inches and another silver quarter buried at 8 in my back yard. It will hit on the 6 inch coins with 8 inch and 9.5 inch coils,no problems and in either disc mode or SAT. However, it doesnt fair well on the 8 incher with either coil. I will get a signal with the needle pegged all the way to the right. The hole is clean, no iron. These coins were only buried about 3 months back,so. But there is some iron about 18 inches from that hole. I guess I need to clean that iron out also. You guys have to remember, Im still experimenting with the Pro/learning. But no doubts I like it,its not going anywhere.
Well, gotta get my gear together,
HH

hi john!
when you do get the 6" coil, the balance of the pro comes alive!..i use that combo all the time in trash, and also when hunting sidewalk easements!..it really is
a sweet combination!!...john!..as you have figured out,it is EXTREMELY important to sweep the target from ALL angles with the pro...the meter is really accurate, and always gives you enough information to dig or not dig,and with the 6" coil on board, the ability to separate targets is so much better!

regards!
