Hello Everyone,
Got out on a couple of quick 1 hr. hunts today....one in the woods/abandoned railroad near my house; the other in a pretty big park in a town nearby. Can you tell which is which from the finds? :>)
I was chilly here today. temp. got to the low 50's, but the wind was blowing at 25 MPH. Created a wind chill. Supposed to get to 35 tonight. What happened to spring?
Anyway, I am sure enjoying the MXT. The eclipse 5.3 coil sure worked well for me in the park today. It easily separated the two dimes that were stuck together from a copper penny that was 2 inches away from them. I just walked around the targets and swept real slowly and you could tell right where they were. Pinpointed them right on. It was interesting....the VDI number was the same for each, and the ID (coin/jewelry mode) would alternate as the first choice between .01 and .10 depending on which one I scanned over. I'm impressed!
The .22 shells were all dug at 6 to 7 inches, with a consistant VDI of +6.
Well, tomorrow is going to be nice here, a lot less wind and 65-70 temps. Hope to hit some other spots around the area.
Happy Hunting!
Dave
