coinstrike

It's one of the best Fisher's of all time on hitting high conductive coins. What would you like to know? Any questions on the C$ fire away......
I'm working on a Coinstrike help video that will be on YouTube as soon as the snow melts here......
See, unlike some who are sudden experts on Fisher, I actually have used & own most all of the real Los Banos Fisher units like the X-series, CZ's, C$, etc. I didn't just jump on the bandwagon & begin running my mouth after buying an F75. I have actual experience & brand loyalty with Los Banos Fisher since I was a teenager.
HH,
Bill
PS. I would begin with a Google search on "Coinstrike homepage". This web site is loaded with info including a "tips guide" I wrote early on.

I really like what you've done in the field and respect your views Bill, it is great that you are helping people. I guess I can see where you are disappointed the company sold, and what has happened with it. They surely aren't doing everything we might want, but it sure beats the alternative which was Fisher going under altogether.

I don't have any Fisher units right now though I am looking at the F75. I do have hands on experience with the FT T2 unit, and if the F75 is the next step, then I would have to say they can be very proud to put the Fisher name on that machine as the T2 is just an excellent all around detector.

So I can understand where you are coming from, but at some point you just gotta let it go and move on. It's not worth your time. You're someone who has done a lot of good and helped a lot of people. I don't have any affiliation with the company, just saying as one detectorist to another. I hope you can keep helping and making a difference and just let the rest go as far as bitterness. I'm glad you speak out on what you think is right and want to see that continue, just think for your own sake, the anger isn't worth it. Just my 2 cents, thanks for helping a lot of us the way you have.

Dino,
I just got a really nice used one last week. Haven't had time to take it out yet. I had one several years ago and have regreted getting rid of it since. I have the 8" and 5" coils and the Sunray CS-1 probe on it also. I was wondering if the Sunray Invader CS-5 coil would be worth getting if it can help the Coinstrike on sensitivity in hitting gold chains and smaller gold rings a little better.

Bill,
My family has lived in Los Banos since the Miller & Lux days, even before Los Banos was a town, and can relate with your views about Los Banos Fisher. I had family and friends that worked for Los Banos Fisher for many years, even when it was located on "I" St. The customer service and workmanship were excellent in Los Banos. They always took the time to answer all your questions, and if you were at the Los Banos site and needed work done on a machine, most of the time they would fix it while you waited.

This is Just My Opinion and my experience with the Los Banos site.

Bill,

I can't wait for the YOUTUBE video you said you are going to do for the C$ . Will you go over 5 -25 on the video? Trashy site tips? The relationship between threshold and sens. settings? I understand this machine has very fast response time, perfect for older sites. I suspect your vid will really cut the learning curve time down and help the manual to make more sense.

Thanks in advance for your hard work and dedication.

I get my C$ next week.

Jason

Hi Jason. I agree, the video will really be great and would absolutely help alot of people with this machine. I have 'rented' the machine a couple times from a dealer by me, and even with the dealer's help, I still really didn't understand the settings that well. But the dealer didn't show me the machine outside in real-life situations either, so that didn't help. Since I 'rent' this machine a lot, (which really doesn't help me in the first place), I think it would be nice if he had a 'section' on the video about 'how the machine reacts' (i.e...'sounds' and such) when it is set "too hot" like some beginners tend to do a lot. I don't own the machine, but I have read a lot about the machine on here, and I know the 'threshold and sensitivity' settings kinda' work hand-in-hand with each other. If one is adjusted, the other one usually has to be too. Or something like this I think, if I read write. But anyways, Bill is awesome and I think the video will be great. Sincerely, Randy

Hello Bill,

I've recently acquired a "practically new" Coin$trike and I hope to get out and try it shortly. It looks like it has the ability to be one heck of a system once the user learns how to do his/her part. I would definitely be interested in seeing your video tips on using it.

p.s. - How's the "young guy" doing with the Fisher 1266x system he got last year? :)
