CoinStrike solid bottom Coil Cover??

MarkCZ

Well-known member
I was wondering if anybody here has come up with a closed bottom coil cover that will fit the 8" C$ spider coil? I found some information about a Tesoro 8" donut cover that will fit it and it only leaves one small hole in the center, anything else that will fit it?

I have a Teknetics 8500 and the search coil is the old fully closed coil, but the solid bottom of the coil does glide better across the ground (grass) without hanging up on stuff like the open spider coil's do. Yea, I know I would have to keep it cleaned out, but open on the top means you can see if anything is laying in the cover.

I believe a solid coil cover was made for Fisher 8 inch spyder coils..Whether they were a Fisher product or off brand I don't know...I have seen one in person at a park and on the front of the Coinstrike page the picture shows one being used with such a cover..Might contact a Distributor Fisher dealer or Fisher itself or perhaps someone can chime in that has another that will fit...

The Tesoro 8" brown donut cover will fit it, but only OVER the coinstrike coil, otherwise the Tesoro cover will be too big. You can fill in the Tesoro center hole with a plastic cut out (expoy it on) or what ever other means you might wish. I kept a Tesoro cover just in case I ever decided to get another CS just for that reason.

Google the fisher coinstrike homepage and am sure the author can help where to find what you are looking for......just peruse the page as he discusses the soldid coil cover....Dan

The one solid cover that is shown on that web page I ask about, the reply went something like this, that cover has gotten hard to find, the reply went on about what I thought was some kind of detector, but I did an internet search and found nothing, I guess I deleted his email reply because I can't find it??

The Tesoro 8" donut cover that I mentioned in the title post was the other one mentioned on the site.
I was hoping that somebody here would have came across something else that would work.
