Coinstrike KHZ Question ?????

I know it has probably been posted somewhere here before, but I can't find it on the forum or on the net.

What is the true operating frequency of the Fisher Coinstrike ?

I had one several years ago and have regreted getting rid of it, so I just recently traded for a very nice used one with the stock coil, 5" coil and a sunray probe also.

Even though it is known for coin machine it was also a very good jewelry machine for me.

I just would like to know the actual khz of the machine. I am thinking it is between 8 to 10 khz.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bill , Thanks for the info. It's not as high as I thought. But it sure finds the jewelry good even at only 7kHz.

Oh..it fluctuates between frequency range ??????????? Thats if you mean Spectrum as I think you mean Spectrum

Here's a capture sample I did of a CZ with the 5kHz fundamental & 15kHz third harmonic with a spectrum analyzer. The signals were fixed not varying in frequency.

Use the small coil and it's the BEST tot lot jewelry hunter out there, you can get right next to the equipment without interference and it goes deep.

Thanks Brian. I have the 5" Fisher Coinstrike coil and will try it.
