First: You can always count on quality of Fisher Machines... This just may be a particuliar production run but I believe the quality of the control box is as good as or better than what I have seen in previous Fisher models....
Secondly.... Very user friendly controls and easily understood
Third... Innovative on the belt-mount conversion...
But....A question...
I relic hunt and choose to get small iron fragments from a couple of ounces on up, where is the best place to set the discrimation to accomplish this..
Can't get outside, rain from the hurricane is soaking us... Thanks to all, Richardntn

Richard,

I always set the iron disc to knock out small nails so I can't really remember where they read. But I usually ended up with the the iron disc set at around 50 or 52. Check some of those iron pieces in all metal to see what they read (-) and set the disc accordingly. Remember one thing and this is important, in some ground conditions small stuff (non-ferrous and ferrous alike) will give a bouncing reading from negative to low positive number and mid range positive numbers on small non-ferrous. You will see this on isolated targets after you get some time on the C$ and get over a few. Those targets are almost always "good stuff" like perc caps, small rivets ect. :)
