The scanner is still down so I can't post any recent finds. So here is one of my favorite C$(and C.S.) finds. This is the Southern Cross of Honor awarded to Confederate Veterans. Found near Statesville, NC. The Latin translates "God our Vindicator"

That is an excellent button! I have found some Cavalry stuff but not an Eagle "C". Great find.
 
I water hunt, but only up to chin deep. Sometimes I'll go nose deep if the lake tastes O.K. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> Thanks for posting those great finds.
