coinstrike and edge question

Since all C$ coils are compatable with the Edge via an adapter, I would expect interference between these machines. I hunted within a foot or so before crosstalk. What gives?

but probably more for an enginnering type person to answer. I'm surprised as well that both detectors can hunt so close together, but those units go crazy anywhere near a detector like an XLT :shrug:
