Coinstar

7centsworth

Well-known member
We took some change to a coinstar today. I got a 1950 dime out of my change that I would have never thought it was silver by looking at it. I even had my liz and Loren look at it to make sure it really said 1950. It was extremely worn. But I'll take it. Got a Canadian dime also.

We check it all the time. it rejects silver, foreign, and coins in bad shape. We have found Rosies and mercs and many canadian coins. One day my son came over to me with a handful of coins he got in the reject compartment and he had $4.80 all Canadian. I never use it as they want 10% up here unless you get a store merchandise card.

Good find - add it to the melt pot. I got a non silver quarter last week that was slightly bent. I used it at Wallyworld. Steve

We check them all the time and have only found one or two coins ever.
