Dug these a few years back and have no idea what country they come from.
 
They are both from Japan, 1 Yen and 100 Yen.
 
The 100 yen is from 1986. The 61 is yr.61, which is some odd way the japanese make their coinage. There were 99,960,000 minted of that coin. Pretty common. The other 1 yen is more painstaking in figuring out the date, because of all the different type of writing which I don't understand. It is interesting to find foreign coins even if they aren't old or really worth much, it makes you wonder how they ended up in the good old USA. Nice finds.

I was living in base housing in the military at the time. About 100 housing unit were being renovated, so I had a lot of yards to detect :) good times
