Been heat warnings all week in Edmonton. Spent the afternoons wading in the river (to stay cool) in Edmonton shoveling gravel into my high-banker for flour gold, then, on the way home, I would do some metal detecting in cooler temps. A win-win situation. Stay cool, get gold & detect! Here re my totals detecting.....about 3 hours worth, 2 hunts.

Here's the gold. About 1 gram. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to get the flour gold out of the black concentrates.

Here are the treasures which come out of the river bedrock....petrified would and the odd petrified dino bone.
