Coins from my fall field hunting...

New member
These coins are from a half dozen sites within a few miles of my home. These aren't all the coins I found, I gave some large pennies and IH pennies to land owners. There are 6 large cents, 3 IH fatties, 9 later IH pennies, 3 shield nickels, 2 V nickels, 2 merc dimes, one seated dime and two tokens. I didn't include the buttons, bullets, buckles and other goodies found at the sites. Half were found with my F70/6in coil and the other half with my MXT.

testing the F70/6in coil combo on an 8in deep penny my hunting buddy's yard showed the little coil not only hit on the penny but would still pick it up with the coil raised off the ground a couple of inches. In an air test we performed the 6in coil would hit on a nickel at 12in. I have been impressed with the depth of the F70/6in coil combo.

Nice finds! I need to knock on the door down the street where there are some old foundations showing and see if I can look with the detectors. You are inspiring me to go knock!
