Coins from last years hunts in Bavaria...

New member
Hi fans of metal detecting,

today I will show you a great part of my coins (as promised) from the last years hunts here in Bavaria. Unfortunately the copper coins are often unpleasant. Finding a silver coin is a great feeling and there is no problem to clean them. Sorry for no description of every coin. Please write your questions, if you want a determination. I hope you will enjoy the photos!

Best wishes, Jürgen

The coins on the shell are coin weights. Please look here:

Amazing. Real history! Thank you. I am fortunate to find coins that are 70 years old, as my town is not much older than that.

Thanks for sharing . You are very lucky to find coins that old.
If we find something more than 100 years old, We go crazy..
Love the pictures too.

Thank you Jurgen for posting pictures of those beautiful coins! I have an old reference book printed in 1963. It is "The Catalogue of the World's most popular Coins" by Fred Reinfeld revised by Burton Hobson. I have had difficulty in identifying most of your coins but it looks like in your photo of the 3 coins prominently displayed that one of them is a Double Taler of 1839- 1848. Is that correct? Thanks again and continued success in your metal detecting!

Thank you, Jurgen, for the positive identification. Some times my old eyes play tricks on me hahah. Seeing your link made it very clear to me. Best of luck and...
