i have found a coin copyrighted thru the Franklin mint and cant find out anything about it. i have called the franklin mint several times and determined that the people that work there are unaware that they make coins. all they want to do is sell you more or send you to websites that want to sell you more. the coin has william clark (lewis and clark expedition) bust cap facing right with a transom on the reverse. does anyone have a clue what it is made of? the coin is very malleable.

In Australia, Franklin Mint try to sell reproduction pieces such as commemorative plates, coins, prints, cutlery and almost anything else you can imagine. They sell on the premise that it is an investment in the future and you or your grandchildren will be able to sell the beautiful pieces at a great profit. Unfortunately no-one that I know ever has. They advertise in publications such as the Readers Digest and similar. Watch out and you will shortly see stuff commemorating the engagement of Kate Middleton to Prince William of England, undoubtedly these will cost you an arm and a leg, available on time payment over several months or a year.
The coin is probably made of some kind of brightly plated base metal.
