Coinmaster

I have a Xterra 705 but want a backup detector that's just a turn on and go. Thinking of getting the basic coinmaster. Any pros and cons will be appreciated.

Hello My hunting buddy bought the regular coinmaster last spring and has used it all summer ( his main detector ) it works really well and he has had no problems with it . He gets good depth with it he uses the stock 9 inch coil most of the time but now has a 4x6 coil for it also but hasn't had time in with it yet . IT works and finds coins real good so it would make a good cheaper second detector as far as I can see from his use while hunting with me . The ID and depth readings seem to be good on it also and it has a easy to read face on it .

Mine air tests a dime at SOLID 9"..

small 14 carat gold ring-8"...

larger 14 carat gold ring,9"-10"...

Quarter 11"....

I'd say the depth is AT LEAST ABOVE AVERAGE,and gold sensitivity *surprising* with the 9" stock coil!

I think the 8KHZ operating freq. may be a nice blend for finding silver AND gold objects!
