coinmaster vs coinmaster pro

Does anyone know what the Coinmaster Pro will do that the plain Coinmaster won't? I am not in a position to get a high end White's but am determined to have a White's. My husband has a White'snd I currently have a Bounty Hunter. I want the pinpointer feature that the White's has. We are fairly new to detecting but really have the "bug". We're old. 60's, ha ha. Thanks in advance for any information on the difference between the 2 mentioned.

i have never used that model but on a lot of detectors the pro model has a larger coil as the only difference. if you can find some ads for the coinmaster you may be able to tell

Judging by the catalog I got from Whites a few weeks ago it looks like the "pro" version has multiple tones for the various metals and a "notch" type feature for discrimination. Coil sizes look to be the same. I myself do not have either one of these machines but that looked to be the main differences that I could see.

Hi Missy,

I have no experience with either machine. Like jazzman58 wrote, it appears that the difference is that the Pro version has notch discrimination and 3 tone ID. Both of those features are very helpful. I suspect the Coinmaster Pro equipped with 4X6 Prizm DD coil, P/N 801-3237, would be a fun park hunter in high trash areas.

By the way, the metal detecting addiction tends to grow over time. However, this hobby is good for us
