There were many different whites, over the years, which contained the word "coinmaster" in the title. You need to be specific on the full name. Also, are you talking salt water beaches? (as opposed to inland lakes), dry sand? wet sand? If wet salt beach, how mineralized is the sand?
The Coinmaster and Coinmaster Pro are both great entry level detectors and I have known many who are very happy with them and I was quite impresed as well. I wouldn't want to insult you with operator error so I would have to say you may have had a faulty machine Joe.
My wife has a coinmaster pro and she does great with it. In fact she is outgunning me at the moment and I have an MXT Pro. Must be operator error on my part or she is just a lot more patient lol. The MXT Pro is doing great but she is having a great time whipping my butt at the moment. I am really happy I got her the coinmaster pro. Its seems simple but powerful for her. She just found a beautiful ladies beltbuckle with gold (not real of course) leaves and a Japanese 10 yen coin at an old house we searched. It was really trashy and unfortunatly I brought the 12 inch coil for mine and was confused as all hades. Well I fixed that. I got the 5.3 eclipse for my MXT Pro. She better watch out now at the trashy areas I will steamroll her butt lol. Long way around the world to defend the coinmaster pro my apologies but it is a great little detector for those seeking simple and fun.
Yes digger i own a coinmaster pro im new too here but i can say this little guy i have found will find anything you want within at least 8+ inches in the water/sand/shell/gravel...i have hunted everyone of theses places i will be owning a v3i soon enough with a nice little 18 inch coil on it thanks, dirtyray
