Coinmaster 5900di pro series worth repairing??

Mike Pilcher

New member
I bought this detector new a LONG time ago. It has served well. However, it recently fell on a concrete floor HARD. White's will repair it. They say it's $60 labor plus parts. I'm about to send it in for an estimate that would include parts. Is it too much of an antique to repair?

thoughts??

Thanks
Mike Pilcher

If you like the detector then have it repaired. If you don't like it you could sell it for at least the cost of the repair. This way someone will benefit and you'll be out no extra money. Heck if I could afford one I would rather be driving a fully restored 1969 Hemi Cuda!

In general sure..they were a good detector..But light years of improvement has happened since the coinmaster series.. Weight, depth. ease of operation, Id, better discrimination..It would work for a back up but it's still only going to be what it was when you bought it new... ??????????? it's a tough call.
