[I just realized we don't have a coin-specific forum here. Can we get one created?]

Thought some of you might get a kick of out this. Here's the bulk of the text of an email I sent to PCGS about the coinfacts.com site. (Couldn't find a better link to email it to.) I'd sure like some of those Seated Liberty dimes that were 27 grams over! :D

Did they reply back to you at all? I'm going to check right now and see if anything's been changed...

Not a word. (Unless it went into my junk folder.)

I was looking last night at something else and saw some of the same issues for other coins too.

yup, that type of thing is everywhere on the site. On an unrelated note, I have the coin in your avatar pic... a 1906 canadian one cent. Is it worth much? Mine is in real nice shape, not one of my detecting finds unfortunately ;)

Calgary Coin has a pretty big listing online and for the 1906:

1906 .................................... VG-8 SOLD
1906 .................................... F-15 $ 3.50
1906 ................................... VF-20 SOLD
1906 ................................... VF-30 $ 5.00
1906 ...... spot of light discolouration XF-40 $ 5.50
1906 ................................... XF-40 $ 7.25
1906 ................................... AU-50 SOLD
1906 ........... trace red/red and brown MS-62 $60.00

So they're not worth a whole lot. Still a pretty neat coin and I was quite happy to find mine. It was in nice shape when it was dropped, probably Fine of some sort (I don't have any grading reference for Canadian coins)--but has minor pitting from the time in the ground.
