Coin$trike Deep Silver ?

Active member
I just had a quick question about hitting deep silver (or any coins I suppose).

On the really deep stuff do you just get a quick high-tone blip, and may not be able to pick it up again nor pinpoint on it ?

OR is it typically repeatable and you are able to pinpoint it from the C$ ?

TIA,
Cal

CC, I've come to the conclusion that you definitely have the energy, desire, and ability to learn this detecting game soooooo, it's REALLY time, IMO, for you to design, lay out, and plant a kickazz test plot. Get creative and make the targets range from easy to impossible with a lot of varying depths, masking situations, multiple conductivity coins, etc. A test plot is priceless in learning what to expect with a detector's response to different target situations. Granted, it's still in only one type of ground but it doesn't cost anything other than time to do, and it will excellerate your learning curve with your existing detectors as well as allowing you to instantly "baseline" a new detector when you add another to the stable. :)

All great points. It would be awesome to have a test garden, as I agree it would be handy to try all the different SENS/THRESH settings, coils, sweep speeds, etc. in different situations to be prepared for various hunting scenarios.

The problem is that my home lot is small (4500 sq ft) and the backyard has no dirt (pool, pebbletek patio, not one square inch of dirt, it's small) and the front yard has a postage stamp sized lawn, so I'm soil challenged :nopity: ....maybe I can plant some test targets in my front lawn and test out my new Lesche before I turn it loose in public :detecting:
