Coin$trike & De Tune

onpoint

New member
Could someone please explain how to ? and why I would need to de-tune my C$ ? As I have seen this mentioned a few times and not sure what this means ?
Thanks in advance.

After you pinpoint, still over the target re pinpoint..This is detuning..it shrinks the target reading under your coil for a smaller area of digging..It takes a little practice at first, but is a good way to dig less and smaller holes..It becomes second nature and you find yourself doing it everytime..

Remember Detune is only pinpointing a second, or, even third time for precise pinpoint

Thanks for the explanation Elton, I'll give that a shot tomorrow when I'm out with my C$ (although, except for the 10.5" coil, it seems to be spot on for pinpointing).
