Doublet2a, you have an English half-penny, with Queen Victoria on the obverse, (see comparison below). Victoria was the longest reigning British monarch (1837 - 1901) The portrait on yours is called the "bun head" and was used on English pennies from 1860-1894, making yours most likely an 1882 (25mm). When you compare the pics, you can see the queen's silouette, seated britannia on the reverse, and if you look closely the "L" and the "F" in "HALFPENNY"

From the land of the Bluenose...the line above the date is a dead give away! rather toasty but a nice find nevertheless!
