Coin Spill or Ash Tray Dump

Went out Christmas day while waiting for the Kids to arrive. Decided to use my 4X6 Shooter coil. Hunted the Boundry Line between two places I hammered pretty hard. Almost first signal I got was a unusual signal. Signals jumped from Zinc Penny to dime. Found 22 coins in one hole. Pretty sure with a larger coil I would have wrote that off to a crushed can other wise. I got a couple copper pennies the rest were Zincs and clad dimes. I wonder why I find these so often. Surely this many people don't lose this amount of coins in one place.

Sometimes, I find 2-4 coins stacked. You can tell cause the insides are still shiny. I have no idea how coins can fall out of a pocket, sink in the ground, & stay stacked.

Many years ago my oldest son had watched “Treasure Island” on tv and decided to bury a pirate treasure in the back yard. All the loose change disappeared. I found the booty trying out my first metal detector in the back yard.

These are scattered in about a 1 1/2 diameter, I think someone dumped them. I have found t least three of these at different houses.

Howdy Daddyflea--

Ours is not to do or die but to dig and smile! Who knows WHY all those coins were there? The main thing is that YOU got them! The little 4x6 strikes again. Good job! Best of luck and...
