Sometimes I have to look at clad different.Today my coin spill find consisted of 23 quarters,17 clad dimes,2 nickles and a couple of pennies. All these coins was found in a 10 x 10 foot area.I 'm still scouting this area and it appears not to have been searched.I'm very happy clad was found today.By the way I used both the S-1 probe and my Garrett pinpointer to recover this spill and this combo made things much easier. Ron,

Looks like you hit a jackpot!! That's a couple of weeks finds for me.

That's some digging there Ron. Hopefully the area produces more for you:thumbup:

I think that would be called a Clad Infestation. That is a lot of digging in a small area. What type of field? Farm, Soccer, Baseball ? Wonder what you might find in the rest of the field.

George,an old baseball field near a ticket booth foundation.LOL I don't mind digging clad quarters, though silver and gold is better. Thanks Ron

John,I hope Virginia works out,you got to get out for a search with Gary from Va and Kevin my brother, trouble is they are in the Roanoke area.Next month I'll meet up with them at the Buckeye Hunt. Thanks Ron

Neil,I'm hoping the area will produce some jewelry and old coins. The field is about 3 miles from my house which is a big plus.I'll probably bicycle in with a back pack, need the exercise. Thanks Ron

Ron that sounds like a place that very well could have some silver. Might be able to find it after you get all that clad removed.

I enjoy digging. Cashed in almost two years worth of clad at the end of May. Financed most of the lodging costs for my wife and my two week vacation. Clad does add up.

I do love to see a silver coin or a piece of gold come out and ask to go home with me.

I once found a park that had an area almost literally coated with pennies. I think I pulled over 100 pennies out of a 10'x12' area. I also found a small silver ring and a 1 pound coin in the same park, but not in the same spot as the spill. Looks like your spill was better. Im thinking someone was playing a game there involving pennies.
