Coin sorting day...

I went out early right before sun-up to hunt the Big Lake, but it was too blasted cold! I had to stop and try to warm my hands every 50yds or so....beach was sanded in to be danged...One bottlecap at the surfline...I hit some good (clad) signals on the dry, but it was frozen like concrete...

So I came home and went through my stack of coins...Wrote down all the dates, and got on Cointrackers and assessed the value...if only they were all Mints or Proofs! :sadwalk: Took all day!

Anyway, they are all tidy and tucked away in an old wooden box for they year, IH's, Wheats, Barbers, Mercs, V's, Buffs and War Nicks, Silver Rosies and Wash Q's, etc......some of the 'good' looking ones I put in those little cardboard sleeves, labeled them and stapled them shut..sort of fun, better than nothing anyway...
I wonder who will wind up with these someday? Most likely a burgler or some kid who wont appreciate what it took to find them all!.:lmfao: Gimme Clad! Immediate reward and ready to spend! :buds:

Mud, my dad left me about a dozen Indian Heads. (After he shopped them around of course) Absolutely no value. So I refinished a couple of old chairs, mounted one each. Least they're in daylight now. I cut a beat up one loose in a penny tray. Sending him on to another journey. Maybe he'll run across a Saq. dollar coin, make a little Wampon !

It was an interesting and fun afternoon, I learned a lot from the Coin Value websites...my Wife remembered helping her Father sort coins back when she was a kid...Her brother ran off with all those!

I dread having to sort mine, but I plan on doing a group shot for this year's finds. As of now the dealing ain't done. I have a few more days to add to the stack.
