Coin Shooting with the F75?

I'm getting impatient to use this machine in a real world situation (as opposed to backyard simulations) so I'm going to take 'er coinshooting tomorrow. I'm going to try out the small coil as well. Any suggestions on some of the best settings to try out initially? Its a city park, so I'm sure there will be plenty of trash. I just need to get experience with it before fall and the start of relic season.

The DD is a great coil but if it does not suite your needs or gives you too much info then try the small one I love both and use both at all sights. For turf the F75 is great on rings and nickels, dimes and so forth it is a great coin machine. Try getting your sens to as high as comfortable but if all fails I have gone as low as 35 and got deep coins. Reboot if it starts to act up and fast grab on the + side if she acts up. I pulled out six silver rings at a few schools in one day. And of course if you go to youtube and search for lcpm1956 you can see all my videos ( DIGGING CALIFORNIA) I have the 4th of July hunt which is all turf. Hunt more by sound then numbers if she repeats and you can make a half circle then dig it man...

don't know if you know any thing about the T-2 but i was wondering if it can be rebooted. i don't seem to get the depth that every one else seems to. thanks.

Canewrap, I am no expert with the 75 but I mostly coin shoot as well. I have mine set up in DE, sensitivity where it is stable, Disc at 7 but I notch out high nickels, and all tabs when I am in a trashy area. I also have my tones set up in 4h and I dig the top two tones, especially if they are deep. I dont look at the numbers much unless I get a 94 or higher then I pass that by. I have found more old coins in the last 3 weeks then I have in the last 3 years. That is not an exageration plus I plucked an 18 karat gold ring out at 7 inches today. It was bouncing from 65 to 85. Hope this helps. TMAN...

My settings for a trashy park are,Sensitivity 60 to 70,Discrimination 21,Notch 36.Ground balance and go.The disc at 21 and notch at 36 will knock out a bunch of trash items and let you hunt coins.have fun.
